What are you seeing today outside the windows that allow you to see into the future? Are you seeing outside one of the windows the warnings of global warming proponents being validated or vilified? Are you seeing outside another window the intimidations of international terrorists being conceded or crushed? Are you seeing outside another window the truths of the universal Christ-follower church being received or rejected? Does the potential of global warming ever concern you? What would you attribute a category five hurricane or the amount of rainfall that is way below the average yearly total or . . . to if it should happen someday soon in your micro corner where you are living on planet Earth? Does the potential of international terrorism ever concern you? What would you attribute a dirty bomb or civil unrest that has neighbors fighting neighbors or . . . to if it should happen someday soon in your micro corner where you are living on planet Earth? Does the potential of a universal Christendom ever concern you? What would you attribute Christ-follower guys and gals unabashedly confessing their sins to other Christ-follower guys and gals or sick, physically and/or emotionally challenged guys, gals and kids having their lives miraculously healed or . . . to if it should happen someday soon in your micro corner where you are living on planet Earth? Do you wish that you had a ‘crystal ball’ that you could look into which would show you what planet Earth’s climate is going to be like over the next year, where radical fanatics are going to create mayhem over the next year and how proactive Christ-follower guys and gals are going to have their prayers answered over the next year. Your grandpaa knows that there is no way that he can forecast what weather will do. Your grandpaa knows that there is no way that he can stop what debased hoodlums will do. Your grandpaa knows that there is a noticeable up tic on planet Earth of guys, gals and kids making decisions of faith believing in what God – as God the Son – Jesus Christ, did for them when He was hung on and nailed to a cross to die as a ransom payment for their sins and to defeat death for them when He became alive again after being dead. Your grandmaa and grandpaa are very thankful that they have been are being given opportunities to be eyeball witnesses of and to firsthand hear about miraculous interventions that God – as God the Spirit, has done and is doing against the enemy’s strongholds as the name of Jesus Christ is being invoked and the blood of Jesus Christ is being claimed on lives all over planet Earth. Your grandpaa believes that these days are pivotal days in which the name of Jesus Christ will be manifested and glorified as never before.
A prophet messenger who had been sent by God – as God the Father, to animate and encourage His specially chosen guys and gals – the Israelite people group guys and gals, who were living in the southern region of the land area that God – as God the Father, had given them to always to have to live in as their very own land if . . . scribed a book. In his book, the prophet messenger – who was Isaiah, included some horrific doomsday prophecies along with some joyful dramatic promises. What is now Isaiah 52 in Isaiah’s Isaiah Book, Isaiah had to have internalized what was going to happen one day to the city – which was the city of Jerusalem, where God’s specially chosen guys and gals had settled in and which had become their center for worshipping Him. Isaiah knew that the city of Jerusalem would one day be ravaged just as the northern region of the land area that God had given to His specially chosen people to always to have to live in as their very own land if . . . had been pillaged over 100 years earlier by the Assyrian people group army. Even though Isaiah knew that the destiny of the guys and gals who were living in the land area of Judah and in the city of Jerusalem would be to be one day taken away as captive exiles, Isaiah – for about sixty years, did all that he could to animate and encourage God’s specially chosen guys and gals who were living in the land area of Judah and in the city of Jerusalem to worship God. Even though Isaiah knew through the prophecies that God – as God the Spirit, had divinely passed on to him that the city of Jerusalem would one day take a devastating mortal hit, Isaiah also knew through these same prophecies that the city of Jerusalem would be rebuilt one day. Isaiah’s message that was from God – as God the Father, to His specially chosen guys and gals through God – as God the Spirit, was that there would be a day when the city of Jerusalem – as His holy city, would no longer be a place where unsaved and defiled guys and gals would be found doing whatever. This holy city – which is also known as Zion, would be the one place where only the name of God would be known and where watchmen would witness the sudden return of God – as God the Son, to planet Earth – at which time God will shut the mouths of self-absorbed kings and close the ears of the guys and gals who have rejected or not heard the hope message.
How do you think that Isaiah felt about being a messenger for God – as God the Father? Verse 7 says, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “‘Your God reigns!”’. God – as God the Father, gave Isaiah the blessing of proactively being a Messianic messenger for Him. Your grandmaa and grandpaa – because God called them to be missionaries, sense being very blessed for having been selected and enabled to spread the Good News of a victory that has already been won – which is the context of this verse and of who the city watchmen were when Isaiah was alive. If a guy, gal or kid is on history’s winning side, he or she is going to one day meet his or her Lord and Savior.
