“And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.”
~ Matthew 12:31

Hi James and Ellen,

How do you define sin? Do you know who is the author of sin? Do you think that there is an unpardonable sin? Sins are actions, inactions, attitudes and thoughts that defy the expressed, written expectations of God. It is God’s stated, printed desire that guys, gals and kids do only what is right and good to do. Sins are the direct manifestations of the urgings of the author of sin – Satan. Because Satan perceives himself as having godlike qualities and because he wants to be feared and worshipped just as God is feared and worshipped, Satan’s insidious, sinister motives are to get every guy, gal and kid to do what is wrong and bad to do. God has never been tainted by sin. Satan’s only mantra is to taint every guy, gal and kid with sin. Something that you will probably wrestle with periodically and which you will never have an answer to is why God allowed and is allowing Satan to implant sin DNA into the heart of every baby who has been and will be born on planet Earth. God has made it possible through Himself – as God the Son, to be the only escape from the death ending clutches of sin DNA. The only possible way for a guy, gal or kid to escape an ignominious future in hell that is induced by sin DNA, is to be led by God – as God the Spirit, to and through the faith/grace door into the growing universal family of Christ-follower guys, gals and kids – where he or she will find every guy, gal and kid there wearing the free badge of an eternal life future.

Matthew – in Matthew 12, as God – as God the Spirit, breathed on him what to write, wrote about the effects of sin DNA. Sin DNA tries to convince guys and gals that works has to be a parameter for a belief paradigm. Guys who were Pharisees used works to validate their perceived value through insuring that no guy or gal among God’s specially chosen guys and gals – the Israelite people group guys and gals – who are known as Jews today, did any type of perceived work on a Sabbath. God – as God the Son – Jesus, confronted the guys who were Pharisees for their misguided persistence that He and His disciples were not to eat the wheat or barley grain heads that they were picking as they were walking through a ripe grain field by reminding them of what David had done with his guys when they went into the house of God that was located in the city of Jerusalem and ate the bread that had been consecrated that was in the house of God. Even though the temple priests were the only guys who could per the Mosaic Law lawfully eat the twelve – day old bread loaves, David and his guys got away with eating the loaves of bread because they were really hungry. The guys who were Pharisees were even more uptight with Jesus after He as God – as God the Son, healed on a Sabbath a guy’s shriveled hand. Jesus reminded the guys who were Pharisees that they would do what they could to save one of their own sheep on a Sabbath if one of their sheep should happen to fall into a pit on a Sabbath. After Jesus gave back sight and hearing to a blind, mute guy – who also had a demon in him, Jesus was accused by the guys who were Pharisees of being Beelzebub – who was called the prince of demons. Because of the guys who were Pharisees works centered, conditioned model to measure spirituality, the guys who were Pharisees could not accept that Jesus had no sin DNA and that He really was God – as God the Son.

Because God – as God the Son – Jesus, knew each guy who was a Pharisee by name and because Jesus could read the heart if each guy who was a Pharisee, Jesus had reason to call the guys who were Pharisees a brood of fomenting vipers. Jesus told the guys who were Pharisees that God – as God the Father, would one day judge them through either condemning them or acquitting them for either abjectly rejecting His truth or for faithfully submitting to His truth. When God – as God the Son – Jesus, was told that His ma and bros were waiting outside to speak to Him, Jesus told His disciples that any guy or gal who was among them who did the will of God – as God the Father, was one of His bros or one of His sisters or His ma. Jesus used as examples fruit trees that were either unproductive or producing fruit to make a point that unproductive fruit trees were guys and gals who were infected by Satan while producing fruit trees were guys and gals who were preciousness to Him. If the blood of God – as God the Son, has not halted the infiltration of sin DNA in a guy, gal or kid, the guy, gal or kid in the eyes of God – as God the Father, is an unproductive, useless fruit tree – and He will burn the tree. If the blood of God – as God the Son, has stopped the permeation of sin DNA, the guy, gal or kid in the eyes of God – as God the Father, is a producing, invaluable fruit tree – and He will not burn the tree. Your grandpaa now has a sad looking plant sitting on the window sill in the window that is in your grandpaa’s office. This glum looking plant a month or so ago was a healthy plant. This plant was Barbara’s plant. Barbara is the secretary for Shepherd Services’ department at Adventures in Missions. When Barbara injured a hip – which has kept her homebound, no one watered her plant. This plant is an illustration to your grandpaa what sin DNA will do to a life of a guy, gal or kid when the life of the guy, gal or kid is not purposely watered every day by the ‘Water of Life’. The “Water of Life’ is God – as God the Spirit. Verse 31 clearly explains what the unpardonable sin is, “And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.” For a guy, gal or kid to blaspheme God – as God the Spirit, the guy, gal or kid has unequivocally rejected the prompting of God – as God the Spirit, to have his or her sin DNA covered by the blood that was sacrificially shed by God – as God the Son, as He was hung on and nailed to a cross for each guy, gal and kid who was specially elected by God – as God the Father, before He created planet Earth to receive eternal life.
