“But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.”
~ Revelation 19:20
Hi James and Ellen,
Have your dad and ma taken you to a wedding? Do you know what a wedding is? A wedding is a consecrated occasion for a guy and a gal. A wedding is when a guy and a gal – who love each other, get married. A wedding is when a guy and a gal – who love each other, exchange rings. A gal – when she gets married, will wear an exquisite white dress. Why do you think that a gal when she gets married wears a beautiful white dress? When do you think that a gal wants to have the guy – who loves her, see her in the white wedding dress that she has personally chosen to wear during her wedding vows? Ask your dad what his thoughts were when he saw your ma for the first time in her beautiful white wedding dress. When your grandpaa married your grandmaa, your grandpaa can still picture in his mind the first time when he saw your grandmaa in her very elegant white dress. When your grandpaa saw your grandmaa, your grandpaa remembers thinking that it just could not be true that he was marrying a gal so stunningly attractive. Your grandpaa also can still picture in his mind your grandmaa’s face as she walked down the aisle with your dad’s Uncle Bob to where your grandpaa was standing at the front of the church. Your grandmaa’s face was beaming. The look on your grandmaa’s face made your grandpaa feel like your grandmaa really wanted to marry your grandpaa. Your grandpaa knows that it was a God thing that your grandpaa met your grandmaa and that they got married. Your grandmaa and grandpaa got married in the same church where your dad and ma got married. The church is the Orthodox Presbyterian Church on Wilson Road in Wilmington, Delaware.
God knew before He created planet Earth what guy that He would have marry what gal. God knew before He created planet Earth that He would have your grandpaa marry your grandmaa – that He would have your dad marry your ma – that He would have your Uncle Chris marry your Aunt Lynn. A wedding is to be a blessed, memorable time for the bride and for the groom. A wedding is something a bride and a groom are to look forward to – as it is at that time that they will make a covenant with God and with each other to become as one as husband and wife. Your wedding day will be one of the most significant days in your life. There will be another wedding day for the guys, gals and kids who God specially elected for Himself before He placed planet Earth in the cosmos. This wedding day will be the most critically important day in the lives of every guy, gal and kid who God specially elected for Himself as He conceived planet Earth. John wrote about this wedding day in Revelation 19. The Revelation Book is the Bible’s last book. God – through a dream or vision that He gave John, tells John what He has planned for the last wedding day for His specially elected guys, gals and kids. God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids is the bride in this last wedding. Jesus – the Son of God, is the Groom in this last wedding. Jesus – who will be called Faithful and True, will come to this last wedding on a white horse. This last wedding will not be like any wedding that will ever be seen on planet Earth. This very last wedding that will ever happen will be the wedding of all weddings. It will be between God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids and His Son. Every guy, gal and kid will attend this wedding.
You probably are thinking that your grandpaa has gone really weird again – that a wedding is just about when a guy and a gal get married. You probably are thinking that it just cannot happen that every guy, gal and kid who has ever lived and is living will attend this wedding. This wedding of all weddings cannot happen on planet Earth. This wedding of all weddings – when the guys, gals and kids who God elected for His Son before He created planet Earth become married once and for all to His Son, is going to happen in heaven. The Revelation Book author – John, was one of the guys who Jesus chose to be one of His twelve disciples. John had been called by Jesus – God’s Son, as the one who He loved when Jesus was on planet Earth. John was being punished for what he taught and preached about Jesus by having to survive on an isolated island. John had been stuck on Patmos – the lonely forsaken island, for eighteen months. John – while on Patmos, spent all his time talking with God. God blessed John for his fidelity by allowing him to get a glimpse of that final last wedding when the guys, gals and kids who God has specially chosen for His Son will marry His Son. This last wedding is going to be an absolutely wonderful moment for every guy, gals and kid who have a personal, intimate born again relationship with God. This last wedding is going to have twenty-four elders present as part of the wedding activities. These twenty-four elders may be representatives of the twelve Israelite tribal clans and of the twelve disciples, as part of the wedding activities. This last wedding will also have four living creatures. These four living creatures may be four leading angels. This last wedding will have a being do all that he can do to stop the wedding. This being – who is called the beast but who is really Satan – along with a buddy of his who is able to do miraculous things but who really is a false prophet, will tell the birds that they see to head for the wedding feast as there will be plenty there for them to eat. Satan, the false prophet and all the guys, gals and kids who think that Satan is . . . will think that they will be able destroy God’s elected guys, gals and kids and His Son once and for all but . . . verse 20 says “But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.” The last wedding will end all evil. Your grandpaa believes that the day of this special wedding will soon take place.
