“On the Sabbaths and New Moons the people of the land are to worship in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to that gateway.”
~ Ezekiel 46:3

Hi James and Ellen,

A revival is going to take place in the city of Jerusalem. God gave Ezekiel a vision of what the revival will be like as God’s specially chosen guys and gals return to worship Him in the city of Jerusalem. A new temple will have been built in the city of Jerusalem by the time that this revival happens. New worship norms will be observed during this revival. Ezekiel – in his vision, has already been given a walkthrough of the new temple that will be built in the city of Jerusalem. Ezekiel – in his vision, is being given instructions as to how to apply the new worship norms to a ruling prince. God’s clear expectations for His ruling prince during this period of revival in the city of Jerusalem are described in Ezekiel 46. The ruling prince will have explicit functions to do as God’s designated leader over His specially chosen guys and gals. On the morning of each Sabbath day and the morning of the day of each New Moon, the ruling prince is to make an appearance at the east gate of the inner court of the new temple that would be built in the city of Jerusalem. The ruling prince is to pass through the gateway portico into the inner court of the new temple that would be built in the city of Jerusalem where he is to stand next to the gatepost while the priests sacrifice his burnt offering and fellowship offerings. The ruling prince’s burnt offering is to be six male lambs and one ram. On the morning of the day of each New Moon, the ruling prince is to add a bull to his burnt offering of six male lambs and the one ram. Offerings of an ephah of grain and a hin of oil are to be burned with the ram and the bull as they are being sacrificed. An ephah is equal to about three-fifths of a bushel while a hin is equal to about four quarts. The Sabbath day and the day of each New Moon are to be observed by God’s specially chosen guys and gals – who are the Israelite people group guys and gals, as very significant days. Verse 3 says, “On the Sabbaths and New Moons the people of the land are to worship in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to that gateway.”

Ezekiel – in his vision, had God show him His specific rules for the new temple that He will have His specially chosen guys build for Him in the city of Jerusalem. One of the new temple rules had to do with the appointed feasts that the Israelite people group guys and gals – who were God’s specially chosen guys and gals, were still expected to observe. Because the temple area in the new temple that would be built in the city of Jerusalem would probably be crowded with guys on the day of an appointed feast, a guy is to always exit the opposite entrance from the temple entrance that he enters through into the temple. The ruling prince on the day of an appointed feast in the new temple that will be built in the city of Jerusalem is to do what all the other guys are to do – which is to go out through the opposite entrance from the entrance that he enters. Whatever time that the ruling prince brings in a freewill offering to the temple – either for a burnt offering or a fellowship offering, the east gate is to be opened up just for him. Another rule of the new temple that will built in the city of Jerusalem is that a one year old lamb is to be sacrificed each morning as a burnt offering. A sixth of an ephah of grain and a third of a hin of oil is to be burnt with this burnt offering sacrifice of a lamb. The ruling prince has other specific rules that he is to always observe – such as passing on his inheritance. It is to be very important that the ruling prince’s property stay in the ruling prince’s family – even though the ruling prince could give as a gift something that he has to a servant. At a predetermined time – which is called the year of jubilee and the year that a servant is freed, the servant is to give back whatever it is that the ruling prince has given him. Who do you think that the ruling prince in Ezekiel’s vision will be? Do you think that the ruling prince has already come to planet Earth or do you think that the ruling prince is still to come to planet Earth?

Ezekiel – in his vision, had God take him in the new temple that will be built in the city of Jerusalem to where the priests will cook the guilt offerings, to the private rooms where the priests will stay and to the kitchens where the priests will prepare their meals. How do you think that God should be worshipped? How do you feel about having to make animal sacrifices – like lambs, rams, bulls and goats, to God? God expected His specially chosen guys and gals to take Him very seriously and to take each Sabbath day and the morning of each new month – which was the day of the New Moon, very seriously. God gave clear rules to His specially chosen guys and gals to help them to know how to worship Him and how to keep His designated day of rest – which was the seventh day of each week or the Sabbath day, and the first day of each new month – which was the day of the New Moon. Even though God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids do not live under the bondage of the rules and laws that God expected His specially chosen guys and gals to live under, God still expects His specially elected guys, gals and kids to honor these same rules and laws that He gave to His specially chosen guys and gals. God no longer wants animal sacrifices made to Him. The sacrifice of God – as God the Son, on a cross was a blood sacrifice that once and for all paid the price for and covered all the sins of God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids. God did this so that His specially elected guys and gals will want to reflect His glory back to Him. Your grandpaa knows that God desires that His specially elected guys, gals and kids gather together with other guys, gals and kids who He specially elected before He created planet Earth to worship Him through singing, corporate prayer and listening to His truths being taught. Your grandpaa knows that God desires to hear guys and gals in a ‘private closet’ talking to Him and meditating on His Living Words. Your grandpaa knows that God desires that His specially elected guys, gals and kids trust Him.
