“This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”
~ Isaiah 48:17

Hi James and Ellen,

Would you like to someday be a mouthpiece for God? A mouthpiece for God is a guy or gal who God uses to speak for Him. God expects His specially elected guys, gals and kids to listen to what He wants them to hear. God does not want His specially elected guys, gals and kids to use excuses for not knowing what pleases and displeases Him. God used mouthpieces – with Isaiah being one of His mouthpieces, to tell His specially chosen guys and gals what He expected them to do to please Him and what would happen to them if they displeased Him. Isaiah 48 has Isaiah reminding God’s specially chosen guys and gals again who were living in the city of Jerusalem and in the land area of Judah that if they did not stop doing what they were doing that God would do to them what He did to their northern cousins. Isaiah was on an ‘I’m telling you – listen to me’ trip. Has your dad and/or ma ever reminded you by saying ‘I told you so’ after you did not listen to something that they had warned you not to do and you did it anyway resulting in you being punished by your dad and/or ma. God was constantly teaching His specially chosen guys and gals life lessons. You are continually being taught life lessons by your Father God. The red life checks which a guy, gal or kid will get when he or she does something that compromises his or her beliefs, when he or she makes a bad judgment call and when he or she simply goofs are ‘I told you so’s’ God’s red sin checks. God used mouthpieces – with Isaiah being one of His mouthpieces, to literally pass on His messages that warned His specially chosen guys and gals to not to worship inanimate idols and images that have been handmade from wood, metal and stone. God used mouthpieces – with Isaiah being one of His mouthpieces, to literally tell His specially chosen guys and gals that He knew how stubborn and treacherous that there were. God used mouthpieces – with Isaiah being one of His mouthpieces, to literally tell His specially chosen guys and gals that He was testing and refining them – using affliction furnaces to do the testing and refining. What happened to God’s specially chosen guys and gals during the sixty years when Isaiah was one of God’s mouthpieces on planet Earth can be juxtaposed to today and to what is going to happen to God’s specially elected adopted guys, gals and kids who are now living on the planet Earth if . . .

A voice is speaking today to God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids who are now living on planet Earth. The voice that is speaking today to God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids who are now living on planet Earth is a still, quiet small voice. This still, quiet small voice is God the Spirit passing on the same kind of message that Isaiah passed on orally from God the Father to God’s specially chosen guys and gals. God the Spirit is constantly reminding God’s specially elected guys, gals and kids such things as God the Father is in total control of everything that is taking place on planet Earth, that they will have a peace like a river if they listen to and totally obey all of their Father God’s commands and that wicked guys, gals and kids will never know what it really is like to have real peace. Isaiah had gotten it what the Spirit of God breathed on him to write what is in verse 17, “This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” Pulling an Isaiah will always please God. Isaiah lived his life for God the Father’s sake. Isaiah did not have any trouble at all understanding what God the Father needed to do and was doing with His specially chosen guys and gals in order to teach them and direct them in His righteous ways.

What have you heard your Father God say to you today? Your Aunt Lynn – when she was a little kid, had an imaginary friend. Your Aunt Lynn’s imaginary friend’s name was Jesus. Even when your Aunt Lynn was a little kid, your Aunt Lynn knew that Jesus was her friend – that He will always go with her wherever she goes. Your grandpaa was required to have an approved cross-cultural experience in order to graduate with a missions major from Moody Bible Institute. Because your grandmaa and grandpaa were applying at the time to be missionaries with South American Mission, your grandpaa asked South America Mission if he could go on their ’76 summer team that was going to Colombia, South America. When your grandpaa contacted South American Mission about joining their ‘76 summer team that was going to Colombia so that he could meet Moody Bible Institute’s requirement that he have a cross-cultural experience as a graduation requirement, South America Mission accepted your grandpaa’s request to go on their ’76 Colombia summer team. South America Mission asked your grandpaa at this time if your grandmaa – if it was possible, would go with him on their ’76 summer team. Because your grandmaa did not want to fly in an airplane, she was not at all hep about going on South America Mission’s ’76 summer team to Colombia. When it became obvious that there would be enough money for your grandmaa to be able to go with your grandpaa on South America Mission’s ’76 summer team to Colombia, your grandmaa ran out of excuses why she could not go on this summer team. Your dad’s Aunt Holly called your grandmaa to tell your grandmaa that she and your dad’s Uncle Ron wanted to take care of your dad and Aunt Lynn during the time that your grandmaa and grandpaa would be in Colombia. Your grandmaa than began to think about what she would do as a missionary. While your grandmaa was listening to the radio one day, a still, quiet small voice told your grandmaa that her ministry as a missionary would be to housewives just like her. Your Father God wants you to hear Him – as God the Spirit, speaking to you even more than He wants you to be speaking to others about Him. What have you heard God the Spirit say to you?
