Lamentations

Lamentations is a series of five laments written as poems. Jeremiah wrote the laments. The laments at some point in time were combined into a single piece of prose called Lamentations.

Jeremiah

The Jeremiah Book was compiled from forty or so years of annotations that were made by an Israelite people group prophet whose name was Jeremiah.

Isaiah

Isaiah is the anthology work of a prominent Old Testament prophet evangelist whose name is Isaiah.

Song of Songs

Song of Songs is an ode about a guy and a gal who are madly in love with each other. Solomon is who scribed the Song of Songs sonnet.

Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes is the recorded words that were spoken by an old guy in front of an assembly – as the meaning of Ecclesiastes is ‘the speaker to the assembly’.

Proverbs

Proverbs is a collated collection of contrasting couplets. The majority of Proverbs Book’s axioms are quotes from Solomon’s notes on living a pragmatic life.

Psalms

Psalms is an assemblage of five books of 150 poems, songs and chants.

Job

Job is an example of what may happen when God allows a person to be caught in Satan’s crosshairs.

Esther

The book of Esther’s 10 chapters are specific for Jews. Before someone put it into a written narrative, it was orally passed on from one generation of Jews to the next generation of Jews.

Nehemiah

Nehemiah is composed of memoir exerts. Nehemiah Book began circulation around 430 B.C.
