“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
~ Romans 6:4

Hi James and Ellen,

Do you know that God has a very special gift for you? What do you think that the very special gift is that God has for you? When you have gotten a gift, what has the gift been? Has a gift that you have gotten been a toy or a book or money? The very special gift that God has for you is not like a toy or a book or money. The very special gift that God has for you will save you from going through death’s door to a place called hell. God’s very special gift is an open door which if you go through will have you living forever with God – as your Heavenly Father, and with God’s only Son – Jesus Christ. Why do you think that God – instead of just simply giving you and every other guy, gal and kid who has been and will be born on planet Earth His very special gift, wants you and . . . to know why He is offering you and . . . the very special gift? You, your dad and ma, your grandmaa and grandpaa, your Aunt Lynn and Uncle Chris and every other guy, gal and kid who has been born and will be born on planet Earth has been born and will be born with badness in their lives. Paul wrote about this in Romans 6. Do you know what the cost is for a guy, gal or kid to have sin in his or her life? The cost for a guy, gal or kid for having sin in his or life is that each guy, gal and kid will need to go through death’s door. When God sent His only Son – Jesus Christ, to planet Earth, God – through having His only Son – Jesus Christ, crucified on a couple of crossed timbers, made full payment for your sins as well as for the sins of your grandmaa, grandpaa, dad, ma, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Chris. Your grandmaa, grandpaa, dad, ma, Aunt Lynn, Uncle Chris know that at that moment that God made it possible for them to have the very special gift that He has promised – which is to know that as they pass through death’s door that they are going to where they will always live with God – as their Heavenly Father, and with God’s only Son – Jesus Christ. Why do you think that God has already given the very special gift to your grandmaa, grandpaa, dad, ma, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Chris? Your grandmaa, grandpaa, dad, ma, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Chris have already done what God asked them to do – which was to make a decision of faith affirming their absolute belief in what God did through His only Son – Jesus Christ, when He had His only Son – Jesus Christ, while nailed to a makeshift cross, sacrifice His body and shed His blood for the badness which your grandmaa, grandpaa, dad, ma, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Chris know that they have in their lives.

Your Aunt Lynn has helped a number of kids like you to know about and to be given God’s very special gift of knowing that the day that they pass through death’s door that they will live with God – as their Heavenly Father and with God’s only Son – Jesus Christ. If you would like this very special gift now – which will be given you as you go through God’s grace door, ask your dad and/ma or your Aunt Lynn and/or Uncle Chris to help you to go through God’s grace door. God has imbued you with a gift of faith to help you go through His grace door. This faith gift is what will lead you to a belief in what God did through the death of His only Son – Jesus Christ, after God had His only Son – Jesus Christ, cruelly nailed to a cross so that the blood of His only Son – Jesus Christ, would atone for or cover your sins – or badness, once and for all. God – your Heavenly Father, has made it clear that if you do not make a decision of faith to accept what He had His only Son – Jesus Christ, do on a cross for you, you will live your lives to serve the sin – or badness, which is controlling and will control your lives. If you make a decision of faith to accept what Jesus Christ – God’s only Son, did on a cross for you, you will find yourselves wanting to live your lives for God’s sake because He has given you still another very special gift. God gives this very special gift to every guy, gal and kid who makes a decision of faith to accept what His only Son – Jesus Christ, did for them on a cross when He suffered and died for their sins – or badness. This very special gift that is given to every guy, gal and kid is God – as the Holy Spirit. God – as the Holy Spirit, will live in the lives of guys, gals and kids who have made decisions of faith to . . . as a guide to continually lead these guys, gals and kids to always know more and more about God – as their Heavenly Father. God – as the Holy Spirit, is always sanctifying or making pure guys, gals and kids who have made decisions of faith. As God – as the Holy Spirit, is sanctifying each guy, gal and kid who has made a decision of faith, God – as the Holy Spirit, is continuing to free these guys, gals and kids from the badness that is in their lives and which keeps each guy, gal and kid from living a life of hope. God – as the Holy Spirit, is also continuing to free up the guys, gals and kids who believe in Jesus Christ – God’s only Son, from having to do things or live by laws to be able to live a life that is filled with hope.

When a guy, gal and kid makes a decision of faith to accept what Jesus did through His death on a cross, the guy, gal and kid will want to identify or do something like what Jesus did. You can do what Jesus did – in a way, by being baptized by immersion in water. Verse 4 says “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Your grandpaa had the blessing of baptizing your dad in a river near Concepción – Ñuflo de Chávez in Bolivia and baptizing your Aunt Lynn in the Gingellville Congregational Church. Your grandmaa and grandpaa were baptized in the Aberdeen Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Being immersed in water is a way for a guy, gal and kid to say that he or she knows that his or her sins have been washed away by Jesus’s blood when Jesus died on a cross.
